Angelic Dusters/Ministerio de los Angelitos de Limpieza

Baptism Preparation/Platicas Prebautismales
 

Preparing parents for the formation of their child’s faith.  Please call the parish office at (916) 723-2494 to schedule an initial appointment with one of the priests.

Bereavement Ministry

Catholic Ladies Relief Society/Senoras Catolicas de Asistencia Social
 

The Ladies Relief Society is a Diocesan organization dedicated to prayer, charity and assistance to our Bishop and priests.  Throughout the year the ladies are involved in several charitable fundraisers and are active in service to our parish. Catholics Returning Home/Ministerio de Conversion
 

This encompasses nine consecutive sessions designed for non-practicing Catholics who are seeking answers to questions about returning to the Church. Cub Scouts
 

Cub Scout Pack Troop 212 provides opportunities for boys ages 7 to 12 to learn about the outdoors and leadership.  The troop meets once a month. For more information, please contact Lynn Senner at (916) 768-9024.

Environment Committee/Ministerio de Ambientacion
 

Serves in tandem with the Liturgy Committee to perfect the flowers, banners, and other sacramentals, that adorn the church on Sundays, Solemnities, Feasts, and Special Occasions during the year.  For more information, please leave a message for Bernadette Viernes at the parish office at (916) 723-2494.

Eucharistic Adoration
 

The Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored by volunteers who sign up for one hour or more to pray before the Lord Jesus present in the Monstrance.  To sign up for your hour or if you need additional information, contact the parish office at (916) 723-2494.

Eucharistic Ministers/Ministerio Eucaristico

Evenings for the Engaged/Ministerior de Matrimonios de Formacion
 

This ministry is designed for couples who want to marry.  A married couple will share their own experiences of marriage to encourage a lifetime of togetherness.  Couples are counseled on all aspects of married life including the role of religion and the Church.  For more information, contact Bill & Joyce Gray at (916) 723-8372.

Feed the Needy/Ministerior de Caridad
 

Once a week throughout the year, a group of volunteers from our parish serve dinner and dignity to the less fortunate in our community.  All are welcome to come help in this rewarding ministry.  Meals are served on Wednesday night each week. Finance Council/Consejo Finanzas

Girl Scouts & Brownies
 

Girl Scouts is an information education program open to all girls 5 to 17.  Their goals are to help the girls develop their self potential, to contribute to society and to understand and appreciate cultural and religious differences. Hispanic Apostlate/Apostolado Hispano
 

Apostolado Hispano is comprised of men and women from our parish whose purpose is to support and collaborate in the needs of the Hispanic liturgical and pastoral work.  For more information, contact Maggie Gonzalez at (916) 276-6525.

Holy Family Parish Fine Arts League
 

The Holy Family Fine Arts League was formed in January 2011 to provide a way to finish the stage area of the Community Center.  At the time it was built, there were no extra funds to install a sound system, lights or a curtain for the stage.  The Fine Arts League puts on shows in an effort to earn the money necessary to finish the stage.  All funds donated at each performance go directly into an account for this purpose.  If you can sing, play an instrument or act, we could use your talents.  Rehearsals are usually one night a week until the week prior to show time.  If you have always wanted to let the "inner you" out for the world to see, come and join us.  You can help make a difference at Holy Family Parish.  For more information, please contact the parish office at (916) 723-2494.

Hospitality/Hospitalidad

Knights of Columbus/Los Caballeros de Colon
 

The Knights of Columbus is the largest men's fraternal organization in the world. Lector/Proclamadores de la Palabra

Liturgical (Altar) Linen Service

Liturgy Council/Consejo Liturgico

Ministry of Consolation
 

This ministry provides bereaved families with condolences and support.  They provide prayer, support, and consolation at 1 month, 6 months, and 1 year intervals after a death. For more information, please contact Loretta Claycomb at (916) 726-7217.

Ministry to the Sick and Homebound/Ministerio del Enfermo

Music Ministry/Ministerio de Musica
 

Make melody to the Lord with all your heart.  Singers, musicians, composers and those with experience as cantors or song leaders are encouraged to become involved in this high form of prayer.  Children and adult choirs are available.  For more information, contact John Wihl at (916) 722-7956 (English) or Jorge Rivera at (916) 223-2448 (Spanish).

Offertory Counters
 

A group that counts the funds collected at Mass each week. Each group volunteers about once a month.  For more information or to sign up to be a counter, please contact Deacon Mark Holt in the parish office.

One Stitch At A Time Prayer Shawl Ministry
 

We are the weavers of comforting prayers that are stitched into the creation of our homemade shawls, blankets, or hats.  Our finished garments are blest by the priest and given to individuals that are enduring difficult times in their lives.  When someone is sick, anxious or depressed, it means a lot to know that God is with them and that others care and are praying for them.  This simple labor of love gives the gift of God's comfort, peace and tranquility through the power of prayer.  If you are interested in joining our group, please leave a message for Carol Gallagher at (916) 965-3479.

 

Parish Vocations Committee
 

This committee assists us as a parish and family to join in prayer and work to create a greater awareness of the call to religious life as a priest, deacon, sister, brother, or lay minister - all in fulfillment of our Baptismal call to discipleship.  For more information, please call Chryl Marquez at (916) 723-1478.

Pastoral Council/Consejo Pastoral
 

Holy Family Pastoral Council is comprised of men and women from our parish whose purpose is to support all of the various ministries and organizations of Holy Family Parish with a Christian heart, mind and soul.  The council assists the priest in pastoral planning.  For more information, contact Carlos Palacios at (916) 787-0290.

Prayer Groups
 

Blue Army Prayer Group:  A movement of millions of persons throughout the world responding to the requests made by the Blessed Virgin at Fatima.  Mary's message is of hope and guidance in this era of moral confusion.  This prayer group meets in the church sacristy every Monday immediately following the 8:30 a.m. morning mass.

Mother's Ministry:  We gather to pray for our children and unite our prayers with all Mothers Prayer Groups throughout the world.  For more information, contact Julie Desrochers at (916) 784-7622.

Prayer Cenacle:  Prayer through the Immaculate Heart of Mary in preparation for the Second Pentecost.

Estudio Biblioc (Spanish):  We gather to study the Bible emphasizing our reflection on the Gospel.

 

RCIA-Adults and Children

Children - Sessions for children seeking to join the Catholic Faith or baptized Catholic children third grade or older who have not received the sacraments of Eucharist and Reconciliation.  Sessions meet through the school year and children attend with a parent for a minimum of two years.  For more information, please contact Loretta Claycomb at loretta-hfc@surewest.net.

Rosary Makers/Ministerio de Fabricacion de Rosarios
 

This group gathers weekly to make rosaries and provide them to missions abroad, hospitals, prisons and our first communion classes here at Holy Family.  We welcome experienced and inexperienced Rosary Makers to share their skills with one another.  Rooted in Catholic faith and traditions, the Rosary Makers encourage family prayer especially with the rosary.  For more information, contact Juanita Lozano at (916) 721-5343.

Respect Life Ministry

Sacristans/Ministerio de Sacristanes

St. Vincent de Paul Society/Sociedad de San Vincente de Paul
 

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a Catholic lay organization that leads men and women to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are in need and suffering.  The Holy Family Conference provides charitable service to those in need residing within Citrus Heights or our parish boundaries. Stations of the Cross
 

Held Friday evenings at 7 p.m. in the church during Lent followed by soup and sharing in the Fine Arts Building.

Stewardship

Usher

Women’s Council
 

All women of the parish are a member of the Women's Council so all are welcome!
